The newest programme from the charity is HIT THE TOP, a programme specifically designed to offer young people with a disability a platform to participate in cricket at local, regional and national level. It is an opportunity for all young people aged between 8-19, with a visual impairment, a learning disability or a physical disability, to be coached to play cricket through to national representation if they wish.
The programme will provide a new network of in-school coaching programmes, cricket clubs and county representation and in addition, a Coach Education Programme will run in parallel to the playing and cricket opportunities; giving young people with a disability the opportunity to become sports development professionals of the future.
The Hit The Top programme will be rolled out initially across Greater London and the surrounding counties from April 2008, then spreads nationwide over the next three years. Contact Us for more details |
